Whitener Appraisals
About
In 1983, I acquired a Realtor's License and began my career in real estate. I successfully passed all courses and examinations to obtain my Residential Appraisal License in 1991 and became an Independent Fee Appraiser for numerous lending institutions. Also, I was appointed to the Department of Veterans Affairs Fee Panel of Appraisers. In January of 1995, I took a position at Piedmont Trust Bank (acquired by BB&T) as a full time staff and review appraiser. While employed by Piedmont Trust Bank, I completed the requirements necessary to become a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. This level of license classification allows me to complete commercial and residential appraisals of all property types. Currently, I am licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of North Carolina as an independent Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. I continue to serve on the Panel of Fee Appraisers for The Department of Veterans Affairs and the Federal Housing Administration; as well as banks, insurance companies, attorneys, and the private sector. I provide appraisals on single-family residential dwellings, manufactured homes, multi-family, proposed/new construction, vacant parcels, farms, and all types of commercial facilities.
